Our story: Born out of concern for the sea

GotBag began with a simple yet powerful observation: Our oceans are drowning in plastic. Seeing this environmental crisis up close, we knew we could no longer stand idly by. We asked a bold question: What if the solution to plastic pollution could be carried on your shoulder?

The answer was GotBag. Our goal was to create a product that was not only durable, practical, and stylish, but also represented a tangible force for good. We transformed a problem into our most important resource and pioneered the use of recycled ocean plastic to create highly functional bags for the modern explorer.

Our material: From marine debris to iconic design

The heart of every GotBag is RE-COVER™, our special material made from recycled ocean plastic. Our process is carefully thought out:

  1. Collection: We work with coastal communities in Southeast Asia to collect plastic waste before it reaches the open ocean.

  2. Processing: The collected plastic is sorted, cleaned and processed into high-quality granulated pellets.

  3. Handcrafted production: These pellets are spun into yarn and woven into the durable, water-resistant fabric that distinguishes every GotBag product.
